Construction and cosmetic concerns:
This is a sharp looking pedal that meets or exceeds what most people consider acceptable in boutique equipment. The graphic design on the Supercollider is excellent, and the layout is easy to use. Paint seems to be well applied and chipping or scratching won’t be a big issue with real abuse.
Looking inside the pedal, all of the wiring is well laid out and soldering is excellent. The pedal passed the “shake test” but looking inside, it’s hard to see how/if the board is mounted and may just be some clever wedging.
Battery access is the standard 4 screw system. The location for the included battery inside the pedal is demarcated by only a cleverly used piece of foam. While this isn’t ideal, it’s still more solid that leaving it floating (which is what happens in many pedals.)
Spot on review Grygrx, I love mine and it’s the best bass fuzz I’ve ever laid ears on!
Hi.
When reviewing, would it be possible to mention the type of device used to create the sound (silicone, diode, germanium, FET, ect)
Thanks
Well, im a guitarist :P.. i live in Greece (europe) . I SO want this pedal. Would you tell me, how exactly can i order it? Ive heard its a one man bussiness.. So i e-mail him, or what? The payment method? pay-pal? .. Thanks.
There’s a link to his myspace page on the overview. Not sure how you order, though. The fact that it’s a tiny one man operation means that he needs all the customers he can get. If I were him, I’d definitely ship to Greece. Then again, I’m not him. Also, be prepared to pay a lot extra for the shipping costs.
now i have this monter!
