Conclusion:

This is a solid fuzz pedal for bass guitar. The low end retention is excellent and while it doesn’t do crazy wild, it manages to be both smooth and biting and would likely excel in a live situation. It does have a lot of gain on tap if you need it to be loud, it can deliver.

Some of construction and finishing leave it feeling a little to much like a home project, and I would love to see Ian clean these aspects up just a bit to help projecting a professional image.

There aren’t very many sounds here, with both the gain and tone knobs having a pretty limited impact on the sound of the pedal. That’s not to say they do nothing, but the pedal has it’s own flavor that these knobs don’t do much to change. This is a love it or leave style pedal in my opinion, if you like what you hear now… you will like it. If you don’t, there isn’t a ton of tweaking that can be done to try and tune the sound to your own needs.

As always, if you have any questions, leave a comment or let me know

Note: A rating of 5 = average and should considered a ‘good’ basic score
