Update

Stashed under: Mad Rambling — grygrx @ 9:52 am

Things continue to move along in the world.

I’ve got a pair of new reviews filmed and waiting for me to do the hard work of prepping all the samples. I’ve updated the video format a little, so that a couple of different basses get to make appearances on film (since some people only watch the video). There have been a couple of requests for mic’d cab samples, and I have to say… I’m still undecided on the issue. I guess I feel like it just adds MORE variables to the mix. You get to hear my amp and cab coloring the samples, and my tube head isn’t and cab with horn isn’t going to be the choice everyone would make for sound.

The Tentacle Love Superfuzz has entered it’s introductory production phase, and I’ll update everyone as they grow nearer. I’ll probably try to do another demo video this week as well, featuring the expression pedal.

Frantone Bassweet – Follow-up

Stashed under: Mad Rambling — grygrx @ 8:28 am

After exchanging a couple of e-mails with Frantone, I’ve discovered that what I have is an older V1 version of the Bassweet.

Yes the Bassweet that you have differs from the current version, the new ones are a bit tamer in that they have much more control in the lower Sustain settings and a different tone contour. If you wanted, you could send me your Bassweet and I would update it for you if you wanted a current version to review. Thanks for reviewing my little pedal, I hope you like it!

I’ll be updating my review to reflect these changes after I get it back.
