The Bottom Feeder by Boomstick Audio Devices is based on the same circuitry as the original DOD 440, but with a wider frequency range for baritone and bass players.
Initial thoughts:
I’ve owned this pedal for quite awhile, which indicates something right off the bat (since I’m cycling idiot). I started with the Tonefactor Branded Analogue Filter (DOD 440 clone) several years ago, and at some point after they released this one voiced for bass I upgraded! Both filters are excellent, and while I think the bass voiced one is more appropriate for the instrument, if I had it to do again I probably would have just stuck with my original one. That said, buying from scratch or (god forbid) I had to replace this one… I would get the bass-voiced model again.
Nice to see that you’re starting up with the reviews again. Was that a New Year’s resolution?
I’ve been busy with the holiday and working on tweaking some stuff and things got behind. I’ve been working on about 8 reviews in bits and pieces and will continue to finish them off this holiday weekend, and then get things back on a more regular swing (I hope).
