Construction and cosmetic concerns:
The CP is pretty typical of boutique pedals these days and uses quality components and seems very well thought out and crafted. The web site doesn’t mention the type of bypass used for the pedal, and the switch used is a bit different then any I’ve encountered so it’s not obvious to me. If I were to hazard a guess I’d say it was true bypass via relay switching, but that is purely conjecture on my part. If anyone actually knows the answer, feel free to hit me with it and I’ll update this information. The paint job is a dark green sparkle and the lettering appears to be a two color screen. The text on mine is a bit blurry, but that seems true of the photos I’ve seen as well. Shake test gives us just a little battery wiggle (if you hold down the stomp switch, which rattles a little). I actually like the action on this unusual switch they used, it’s a tad lighter than the 3DPT switches used by most small manufacturers. Access to the battery compartment is standard four screw method, and you when you look inside the back of the pedal you are greeted with this warning…
Made me want to reduce it to individual components, but I resisted.
