Conclusion:
The Woolly Mammoth is a beast to be sure. This is not a pedal for the mousey bass player who wants to hide behind the lead-singer and be unnoticed. This sucker screams look-at-me pretty much every time you click it on. It’s one of those pedals that I find to be very very sonically recognizable which limits it’s usability for me. It’s a not a love/hate thing with this pedal and me. It’s more of a ‘where can I actually use this’ problem. Iconic for a reason, this pedal has a voice that is all it’s own.
As always, if you have any questions, leave a comment or let me know
Note: A rating of 5 = acceptable and should considered a ‘good’ basic score

Thanks for this unbiased review.
It gets frustrating viewing the forums to see this pedal praised and bashed like no other, so again, thanks for the honest look.
O as an FYI, I have one marked 04 and chipping of paint is not an issue.
The paint date on mine is 11/99 and a build date of 1/26/00. No paint chipping although I’ve only used it a handful of times since I got it in 2000.
