Conclusion:
Looking for a dirty boost to stack into a tube amp? This could be your baby. The slight bit of grit generated from the circuit itself is very natural sounding, and combined a solid level of boost it is super easy to accomplish a smooth low gain drive. The versatility of the pedal is extremely limited on bass, as the usable ranges of the tone and gain knobs is pretty low, although it seemed more usable with a passive instrument. The settings that do sound good (gain from 2-5, tone near min) sound very good, and it stacks well with other pedals, and shines using a tube amp. It’s also pretty quite for a boost, which is always a plus.
I scored the value a 6, which is probably about right if you find one for < 150. At it's initial cost (which was probably around $100, it would be a 7 or 8).
As always, if you have any questions, leave a comment or let me know
Note: A rating of 5 = acceptable and should considered a ‘good’ basic score
Versatility: 2

great review, one thing i think needs to be highlighted is how well it stacks with other pedals and pushes them i to further fuzz/distortion.
also what amp are you using?
My current amp is an Sovtek Mig100.
