FaceDrive Classic Bass Fuzz Pedal
We take the original Fuzz Face and original Big Muff, blend them into a single pedal and redesigned it as a Bass specific pedal. After some more refining and testing, we concluded that FaceDrive is the bass counterpart of our one of the best selling guitar pedals, LessDrive.Pedals were not commonly used with bass until recently. But if they were, this would be the most popular bass pedal back in 70s. It has that presumed vintage quality of the limited bandwidth of older equipments, often referred as being warm. Being a mixture of two most popular fuzz pedals, it resembles both of them: The intensity and the attack of the Big Muff as well as the smooth response and touch sensitivity of the Fuzz Face.
Thanks to the input transformer, it works well both with active and passive instruments. Unusual range of the Face control makes this pedal as versatile as it gets.
Features:
- Classic Bass Fuzz Pedal
- Volume and Face (gain) controls
- Input transformer allows it to be used both with active and passive basses
- Takes a 9V Battery (included) or a 9Vdc stompbox power supply
- Reliable and sturdy full metal construction finished with faded green paint
- Heavy duty true bypass switch
- Ultra bright status LED
- 1/4″ female output, 1/4″ female input jack (Input jack acts as an on-off switch)

are you alleging that I’m a compulsive proofreader?
Indeed, and the world knows I need that.
more on-topic, did you find the facedrive a successful fusion of fuzz face and muff? to my ear it is far more muff than ff, though your clips have a little more ff-type bubbly cracking than the ones on the electronix website (to my ear)
it sounds good for sure, I just wonder if the name really reflects the end product of the concept.
guess I’ll have to mess with one at some point.
It is pretty hard to make a true hybrid of 2 pedals, though. You can do it by mixing and matching components of the 2 pedals, but one will probably win out over the other.
But I’d agree, there’s very little Fuzzface in that pedal.
