Initial thoughts:
This is one of those pedals that I felt like I was just destined to never get to try. As the prices raised and the dollar sank into the toilet I watched it move out of reach. A short time later production ceased altogether and the secondary market prices for D*A*M pedals started to climb dramatically and the little flame of hope seemed to flicker.
I picked up a MKII from an ebay auction and after doing a review for bassfuzz I knew it wasn’t a pedal for me. Luck would have it that when I put the pedal up for trade this Zeke found it’s way into my life! Happy day! It’s been in the bass bunker for 4 or 5 months now and I decided it was time to review it after a stellar performance in a recent ‘what to review next’ poll.
This pedal struggles a little bit for a category since it capable of a wide range of tones, from subtle dirt undertones, overdrive, distortion, & fuzz. Truly a pedal for all seasons.
After A/B ing the Zeke and the Blackstone, I still prefer the later and the Blackstone remains at the top of my dirt box list.
