Construction and cosmetic concerns:
Make no bones about it this is a beefy pedal. It’s a larger than ‘normal’ case, the same ones used for D*A*M MKII Clones. The space is a little empty, but includes a pop-out removable battery compartment, something which is amazingly handy if you plan on using batteries for power. The in and out jacks and the power connector are mounted on the top, which is my preferred location. The only odd issue with the layout is the blend knob on the right side, making it a bit hard to read if down on the floor or packed on a tight pedalboard.
The interior is clean and exhibits the top-notch craftsmanship I’ve seen in other D*A*M pedals. Insulated wire runs are clipped back so they don’t flop free, though the other wire runs might be a little long compared to more recent builds. The board is slotted into the interior corrugation of the case keeping it firmly in place.
After A/B ing the Zeke and the Blackstone, I still prefer the later and the Blackstone remains at the top of my dirt box list.
