Fuzz Review: D*A*M Standard Meathead

DAM Standard Meathead Construction and cosmetic concerns:

I had a meathead deluxe and was drawn toward the regular meathead for the kind of spartan aesthetic that it presents with it’s glaring single knob and lack of a LED.  The paint job on this pedal is very attractive and sparkles like crazy when the right light hits it. A quick shake test is dead quite. Unscrewing the four screws in the back reveal a very tight and efficient build. The circuit board itself is actually velcroed to back of the dirt pot.

As it turns out, the single knob theory (ed: Name for my next punk band?) isn’t really for me. While I liked the idea of it, the lack of control and having to turn to the instrument volume knob for any form of it just hasn’t gelled with me. So I’m a little punk, sue me!
