Well Hrmp…

Had some technical issues with a couple of videos and scrapped them as un-salvageable. The red rooster review was just junk anyway, and I don’t feel like I was capturing the pedal very well… so I’ll be skipping it.

Looking into the log hot months of the summer, I’m likely going to be taking a break through the early part of July, unless people start shooting me free things or loaners so I feel obligated to get them done. This being a beast of personal burden, I’m siphoning my creative juices towards another 50/90 and see if I can make the mark this year. For those who aren’t familiar:

Basics: Starts July 4th with folks being able to post lyrics/songs at that time. Runs for 90 days. The goal is to write 50 songs in 90 days but you don’t win anything if you make it (other than bragging rights) and you lose nothing if you don’t make it (though you will probably end up with more songs than if you didn’t try).

So I won’t be doing any serious reviewing for a little bit. I will probably do a couple of functionality videos for non-fuzz pedals including the Pigtronix Mothership and Skreddy Echo in the next few weeks (no promises though because I keep breaking them).

On a side note, I’ve had to add some link protection due to some bandwidth sucking that has occurred. I’ve added all my normal haunts to the safe list, but If you link to my photos, and they don’t work any more, feel free to drop me a line and I can include your site.

I’ve nearly got a review for the D*A*M Red Rooster finished and you should see that this weekend. I think for the near future I’ll add a poll as I’m about to finish a review for what the NEXT review should be. I’ve decided that it needs to be a distortion pedal, so please vote in the right menu between the two finalists.

These reviews will also be the first to include the newest addition to the bassfuzz.com family. A MTD Kingston Artist 5 String. I think this bass will be a nice addition, giving us a good solid 35” low B and a different set of active electronics. The bass is also a bit higher output than anything else I have now. I’ll update the test equipment pages this weekend with some photos and other details.

Done with another round of general web clean-up. Spent some time tightening up little problems with my css and right side menus. If there is something about the site design you hate, let me know… No promises but I’m not married to anything and I’m a web hack rather than a designer.
