Construction and cosmetic concerns:
I’ve had some exposure to a couple of Copilot Effects in the past, and while I’ve enjoyed them I always felt that they had a bit of a mad scientist vibe going on. Externally this pedal has a clean look with well labeled controls. The inclusion of an expression input is something Copilot often provides for that extended level of flexibility. I didn’t take the time to really explore this option, but simulated it by wildly tweaking the frequency knob! Internally, Copilot moved to a cleaner build philosophy than I remember and it felt solid and durable. The lack of a battery connection is something that may offend some, but frankly I’m a proponent of moving this way whenever possible
