Filter Review – 3Leaf Audio Groove Regulator

Stashed under: Reviews - Filters — grygrx @ 5:18 pm

                               Initial thoughts:

I first heard of this pedal before it was a pedal. Spencer, the brain behind the GR and 3Leaf audio was asking questions about what people wanted from a Meatball clone on talkbass. In my infinite wisdom, I suggested that the blend knob was “half the magic”, and why would you leave that off? I’ll say it now, and blaze it into the history of the interwebs…

I was wrong.

Someone take a picture of that and frame it. ;)

  3. I am a total pedal geek. As far as I’m concerned, this is the best thought out pedal that I own. The magic of the Groove Regulator for me is that it is “just right” in so many ways: the number of knobs, the sound at every setting, being able to locate and re-locate great settings, being relatively small in footprint, and having an effects loop! If you are a person who wants to approximate a universe of funkiness, put the Groove Regulator on your board and add a Subdecay Prometheus, an octave pedal (I like the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe) and some fuzz! Soooo much fun!!!
