So, just to clarify, has the mod that preserves bass been added to all of the newly made ones, or do you have to ask?

The Malekko website mentions that the Chicklet is "brickless," which likely refers to the Belton Digi-Log Reverb module that the Spring Chicken used. It's sometimes called a "brick" due to its size.

true about the spring chicken - you have a source somewhere to indicate that the Chicklet uses a different unit? It seems unusual, especially since the SC is no longer available.

It's similar for sure, but my understanding is the Spring Chicken used a reverb unit from another company and this is their own thing.

Great Demo Grygryx, im really glad that you've started doing 'amped' demo's - I personally prefer to hear pedals played through amps, even though I do understand that they can add a great amount of colour to the tone which could make the demo unrepresentative.

Analogman should make you a pedal called King of Fuzz - then have a 3 year waiting list for anyone who wants one ;)

The two OD pedals I had in possession at the time I got it were the BJFE Blueberry Bass Overdrive and the Dredgetone Angler.

IMHO the SFT is a more flexible than the BBBOD, while attempting similar things, and its range overlaps about 98% of what that pedal can do. The one sound that it doesn't do is the 'wet blanket on amp', and frankly I don't like that much anyway (though some people might). I sold the BBBOD after getting the SFT

The Angler is more nasal, and has a very limited number of settings that sound good to me. I think those settings sound GREAT in a band context, and different enough that I'll be keeping it as well... as a backup.

I'm surprised grygrx liked the SFT so much the first time he plugged it in. I was a little underwhelmed until I tried it out at band practice and heard how it sat in the mix. I really love it now though
