Squier Vintage Modified P Bass

Squier PLooking for a decent P bass a staple of the project. I figured that along with my high end bourgeois instruments it would be good to add at least one quality beginner instrument. Did some searching and had a chance to try one of these Squier VM P basses at a Guitar Center in Charlotte NC while on vacation and came away pretty impressed. I called the GC in Kansas City and snagged one on my way back from the airport. Testing in the privacy of my own home left me feeling good about the purchase, but after a conversation with one of my gear head buddies I ended up purchasing a ‘few’ parts for modification that need to get delivered and installed before I can push her into service. I’ll get some pictures up when this is done as well.  I hear it’s a rite of passage for a bass player to have at least one cheap bass that they modify out of it’s price range.
